digi:media - a new trade fair for commercial publishing & digital printing

"Content meets Technology meets Business".  digi:media is the name of a new trade show in Düsseldorf that runs 7th to 9th April 2011. This new trade fair for commercial publishing & digital printing is designed as a platform for print-based, networked communication and covers all segments of the value chain. Explaining the reasons for launching this new trade fair for the german speaking countries, Director Manuel Mataré said: "Information technology - and digital printing technology following in its footsteps - has brought about completely new products and applications thereby tapping into new target groups for print communication.Also digital printing unites digital communication, online-marketing and CRM in one".

digi:media is planned as an annual event from 2011.  It will be an integral part of drupa in 2012 and then run as a separate event in 2013 (11^th to 13^th April) and every following year onwards.

ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK grows day by day

"This year ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK is already breaking all records", says Martin Buhl-Wagner, CEO of Leipzig Trade Fair.  Some 500 international companies, a 12% increase on 2008, will exhibit between the 12th and 15th May 2010.  Amongst them are numerous new exhibitors from Germany and abroad.  In addition, international shared stands from Japan and Taiwan will beat Leipzig for the first time.

Messe Düsseldorf GmbH expects to close 2009 ahead of budget

Messe Düsseldorf GmbH initially budgeted for a turnover of around 173 million euro ahead of the low-event exhibition year 2009. "When preparing the budgets as well as during the first months of 2009, nobody could have foreseen the precise extent of the international economic crisis", said Werner M. Dornscheidt, Chairman of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.

ProWein - what to do in the evening!

If you are travelling to ProWein this month, (21st to 23rd March), many evening events will be held in the city after the show has closed.  This year, over 30 restaurants, hotels and specialist retailers are to take part in "ProWein goes City".  Over 50 events will take place.  Alongside wine tastings, special wine menus and vinophile parties, there will also be wine-related cultural events. ISPO World Congress programme now online

The detailed Congress Programme of the 13th ISPO World Congress with all lectures and speakers can now be viewed under www.ispo-2010-leipzig.com/congressprogramme.
From May 10th - May 15th 2010, Leipzig is the global capital for orthopaedic technology, orthopaedic footwear technology and compression therapy. 1,000 experts from 50 countries are lecturing in the congress and advanced training programme at the13th ISPO World Congress and the leading trade show ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK.
The extensive programme includes all lectures from the estimated 40 symposiums, 25 instructional courses, 40 free paper sessions and poster presentations. 
All lectures of the ISPO World Congress will be simultaneously interpreted from English into German.

Leipzig Book Fair 2010

More than 2,100 exhibitors are expected at the Leipzig Book Fair 2010, which this year runs from 18th - 21st March.  The range covered by the fair is extended this year to include music publishers.
