boot Düsseldorf 2010 hauls in the people!

Over 240,200 water sports enthusiasts from over 60 different countries visited boot Düsseldorf 2010, which ended on Sunday 31st Jan - (2009: 238,000 visitors).  1,568 exhibitors from 55 countries completely filled all 17 exhibition halls.

"We achieved our targets to the full! Not only did we succeed in giving the industry an important boost, we were also able to interest more young people and families in water sports," said Herr Dornscheidt, Chairman and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf. "The concept, which aimed to place greater emphasis on hands-on events where people could get involved and experience water sports for themselves in the halls at the fair, was a resounding success. It was a pity that the extreme winter conditions prevented some potential visitors from attending boot. Following the healthy rise in the number of visitors in the first few days the numbers slackened off, ending up with only a slight increase on last year by the end of the fair."

ISPO World Congress programme now online

The detailed Congress Programme of the 13th ISPO World Congress with all lectures and speakers can now be viewed under www.ispo-2010-leipzig.com/congressprogramme.

From May 10th - May 15th 2010, Leipzig is the global capital for orthopaedic technology, orthopaedic footwear technology and compression therapy. 1,000 experts from 50 countries are lecturing in the congress and advanced training programme at the13th ISPO World Congress and the leading trade show ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK. 

The extensive programme includes all lectures from the estimated 40 symposiums, 25 instructional courses, 40 free paper sessions and poster presentations.  

All lectures of the ISPO World Congress will be simultaneously interpreted from English into German.

Leipzig Book Fair well under way

Preparations are well in hand for the book and media industry's spring event at the Leipzig Book Fair 2010, which runs from March 15th for four days.  The range covered by fair is extended next year to include music publishers.

ProWein looking like a sell-out!

ProWein 2010, (21st - 23rd March), says that with more than 3,000 exhibitors taking part, the international wine and spirits trade fair is close to being sold out.

All of the world's relevant growing regions will be represented in Düsseldorf and a goodly number of spirit manufacturers too.  So if wine or spirits is your thing, pay this trade fair a visit - you will not be disappointed!

interpack 2011 - closer than you think!

interpack 2011 (12th - 18th May) might seem miles away at the moment, but we would just like to remind you about the cut-off date if you wish to exhibit.
