Messe Düsseldorf Group Maintains Lead
With 256 million euros in revenue in 2009, the Messe Düsseldorf Group was able to maintain its position as one of the leading German trade fair enterprises in spite of the economic and financial crisis. In this year of few trade fairs, 22,000 exhibitors presented their products to 1.1 million visitors in Düsseldorf. With more than 40 trade fairs in the Düsseldorf location - 23 of these in the five competence areas of machines; equipment and outfitting; trade, crafts and services; medicine and health; fashion and lifestyle; and recreation - and roughly 120 company events and collaborations abroad, the Messe Düsseldorf Group is one of the leading export platforms worldwide. At the same time Messe Düsseldorf GmbH ranks no. 1 in regard to internationality at capital goods fairs: more than 60 percent of the exhibitors and more than 40 percent of the visitors travelled to Düsseldorf from abroad in 2009. All told, visitors from 151 countries visited our trade fairs in Düsseldorf. Sales outposts in 127 countries (66 foreign agencies) and competence centres in nine countries form the corporate group's global network. The enterprise provides jobs for 1,400 employees on an annual average. Ticket shop for solarpeq conference now open"Size matters: producing solar at large scale" - this is the theme for the solarpeq conference, which has now been finalised. Interested parties can now register online at www.solarpeq.de/conferenceticket The conference runs all day on 27th September 2010 and until noon on 28th September, the first day of solarpeq - International Trade Fair for Solar Production Equipment. The event takes place at the Congress Centre Düsseldorf East, which has a direct connection to the exhibition halls. The conference targets decision-makers and practitioners from the entire photovoltaic production chain who are interested in practical concepts and solutions to current industry issues and is to be presented in English.
digi:media - a new trade fair for commercial publishing & digital printing"Content meets Technology meets Business". digi:media is the name of a new trade show in Düsseldorf that runs 7th to 9th April 2011. This new trade fair for commercial publishing & digital printing is designed as a platform for print-based, networked communication and covers all segments of the value chain. Explaining the reasons for launching this new trade fair for the german speaking countries, Director Manuel Mataré said: "Information technology - and digital printing technology following in its footsteps - has brought about completely new products and applications thereby tapping into new target groups for print communication.Also digital printing unites digital communication, online-marketing and CRM in one". digi:media is planned as an annual event from 2011.
