The Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre is one of the best appointed and successful centres in the world with approximately 25,000 exhibitors and over 1.5 million visitors per year. 17 exhibition halls provide 234,400 sqm indoor and 32,500 sqm outdoor space and 22 of the 35 international trade fairs held in Düsseldorf are the leading event it their industry sector. Düsseldorf is the seat of government of Germany's most densely populated state, Northrhine Westfalia and 35% of the EU's total population live less than 300 miles away (ie 55% of EU purchasing power). Düsseldorf Airport is the third biggest airport in Germany with 500 direct flights daily. Düsseldorf is a truly global village and home to 5,000 foreign companies.
